                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 3900
                   BLOCK OF CROMWELL ROAD, BEING ON THE NORTHWEST
                   LINE OF CROMWELL ROAD AT CAINE LANE, FROM R-1
                   RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO M-2 LIGHT INDUSTRIAL ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
             
              A tract of land located in the 3900 block of Cromwell
              Road, being on the northwest line of Cromwell Road at
              Caine Lane.  Part of lot B-4, Plat of the Simpson
              Estate, as shown by plat of record in plat book 9, page
              16, R.O.H.C., being part of the property described in
              deed book 854, page 609, R.O.H.C., and all of tax parcel
              number 137E-A-4.
             
         from R-1 Residential Zone to M-2 Light Industrial Zone.
         	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
